Featuring a conversation about marketing
& building community for artists with Jessica Burko, artist, independent curator, and arts marketer.
“Using new media, artists can reach wider audiences, build a supporter base, and self-promote more successfully than ever before.” Jessica Burko has been an exhibiting artist since 1985, an independent curator since 1997, and believes that artists can make the most of their careers by taking charge of their own public image. Burko holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology.

ABOUT THE MILLS GALLERY
The Boston Center for the Arts' Mills Gallery is dedicated to presenting contemporary works by emerging and established artists and curators. The Mills presents 8 - 10 exhibitions per season in its main space, EXIT Room and Guest Room. Through its public program series, the BCA provides multiple opportunities to engage with the exhibits, the artists, and the artwork.
